How faint do we go in marking the IR?

I was wondering how faint an IR source we should be tagging as associated with the radio source? I've marked one or two that are certainly not glowing brightly, but are just slightly brighter than the background. On others I've ignored similar faint IR sources. I need help as I'm being inconsistent!😃

Just my two cents, if it is really, really faint, don't mark it. Scientists, correct me if i'm wrong ! 😄
On the other hand, don't be too insecure. Lots of other people will see these same images. You being inconsistent is not a problem.
Happy hunting !

Yes, thanks Elisabeth; I'm still learning to embrace the joy of "possibly wrong" 😉

If you think the IR source is real, and it should be the counterpart, then mark it. Chances are your instinct is right.

Also if you don't think it's really there, then just tag it as #noinfrared 😃 The complicated ones are usually the interesting ones so don't worry, you're doing great 😃
