How to create overlay images with radio contours, an IR or optical 'canvas', and known x-ray sources?

The thread title says it all.
Motivation? AGN are often x-ray sources, and many radio sources have hosts with an AGN, so such an overlay may help in identifying possible hosts. The IR or optical (e.g. SDSS) canvas is so that the positions of radio and x-ray sources may be compared with IR and/or optical sources.

You can typically overlay X-ray maps as a set of contours in another colour or as a colour background. Does this help?
