what is the long stripe in the ir picture?

I know it doesn't correlate with any radio data so it doesn't really apply to the galaxy zoo project, but the long stripe in the lower half of the picture seems particularly out of place with the pics I have seen so far, as well as the pictures I have seen before this in science magazine articles. Is it just an artifact?

It's a diffraction spike from a nearby very bright star, as you can see in this zoomed-out SDSS image:
