Ram pressure stripped?

by JeanTate
The IR source looks like a PSF, but the radio is extended, and seems centered on the IR source. It (the radio source) looks like what I imagine the ISM stripped from a galaxy by 'ram pressure' would be, except that the hot IGM is barely moving with respect to the galaxy ...
In any case, this looks completely unlike a high relative velocity plasma cloud!

Hmmm interesting. I don't think that this jet is being ram pressure stripped...
The larger field of view or the optical image also does not suggest that it's in a very dense galaxy environment...

Thanks!
Maybe it's a nearly head-on jet/lobe? Does any reader know if there are published estimates of how often these configurations would be expected?
