it looks like the source is from the radio. Does this happen a lot?

Not sure I completely understand the question. This is a #compact radio source with #noinfrared . These are quite common, although because of the low resolution (smeared out images) in the WISE infrared survey we're using, these often fall near or on a faint IR patch, just by accident. In any event, this source is probably quite far away (at high redshift) and visible only in the radio.
