Radio Galaxy Zoo Talk

Interesting off-screen

So a nice #compact from a big elliptical SDSS J000620.28+105151.4, but FIRST and NVSS show something REALLY interesting happening just to the "right" of the RGZ image shown. There's an arc-like "structure" of strong radio signals coming from an area that SDSS shows is pretty busy with galaxies, including some that to my untrained eye look maybe even vaguely spiral. Any insight into what's going on here?

Hi @basst82, that's a completely separate source that you see right of the RGZ image. It's a powerful, probably plume-like radio galaxy - it will definitely show up separately in RGZ images to classify, but has nothing to do with this compact source here 😃
