ARG00036lo - host is more than just an ETG?

To me, the SDSS image shows odd features in the outer parts of the galaxy:

    What do you think?

This one needs some careful image processing in the optical. Not clear that SDSS is really good enough here. There are clearly some asymmetries, and may not be surprise if there's been a galaxy merger, etc., but can't say too much with what we've got now.

    Thanks!

FWIW (for what it's worth), if I had been offered a (suitably scaled) DR10 image of this galaxy to classify, in GZ, I would definitely have clicked 'Yes, something odd', and then - very likely (I know I was not always consistent) - both 'disturbed' and 'other', but not 'merging' (to me it is clearly not merging). To me, in GZ, it's not sufficiently odd that I'd've bothered commenting on it; however, here in RGZ ... 😃

Random thought: is this something like what NGC 1275 would look like, in SDSS, if it were at the same redshift?
