ARG0001nbr - faint #core + single #lobe? strange field

  • JeanTate by JeanTate

Every now and then I'll do some overlays of objects in my Weird and Wonderful Collection; today it's a field centered on z_ph 0.647±0.0934/0.598±0.1121 SDSS J153435.24+312149.5:

Which galaxy (or galaixes), is (are) the host(s)? And how would you describe the morphology of the radio emission?

Boilerplate: SDSS image per http://skyservice.pha.jhu.edu/DR10/ImgCutout/getjpeg.aspx, FIRST (red) contours derived from the FITS file produced using SkyView with Python code described in this RGZ Talk thread. Image center (J2000.0) is the galaxy SDSS J153435.24+312149.5; "z_ph" its SDSS photometric redshift.
