ARG0000etr - host is a blue elliptical?

  • JeanTate by JeanTate

    The blue fuzzy blob is z_ph 0.074±0.0150/0.076±0.0247 SDSS J154053.15+533002.0. Is it a blue elliptical? Or a bulgeless disk galaxy? Is it the host?

    The other possible host Dolorous Edd mentions is SDSS J154051.69+533017.2, an extremely faint, blue fuzz:

    SDSS J154053.15+533002.0 is visible in WISE band 1-3, but there is ( very strange! ) slight offset in band 3

    Some WISE contour overlays might help?

    Magenta = band 1 (3.4μ); yellow = band 3 (12μ); and lime = band 4 (22μ):
