Mysterious X in IR

There is not a single piece of this X formation that lands on a blazing IR source. The source object must be very interesting to produce this pattern without a large source visible. I am captivated!

HI @PattyD,
Unfortunately the mysterious X is really an artefact of the processing pipeline and is not real. The X-shape of blobs that you see in the radio image is very similar to the diffraction spikes you see from bright stars in optical images.

Indeed, and as this SDSS/FIRST overlay image shows, nothing in the optical either (NED says the radio source is called MRC 1410+127, a.k.a. NVSS J141316+123401, 87GB 141051.1+124839 , etc); this is, perhaps, one of the brightest #ifrs objects in RGZ!
Also mentioned in the Chat thread x
The image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk post. The object at the center of the image is (213.318, 12.567)
