    What could have created the jet in the center? It is big but has no associated infrared sources.

    As noted in the comments - especially the old ones - this is a classic #doublelobe ... back-to-back 'clouds', each with a 'hotspot' near their (far) ends. The 'host' - the galaxy from which these two sets of radio emission arise - is the yellowish-white circle between the radio sources, at ~7 o'clock (from the center).
