ARG0002dc4: central sources, doublelobe? Or two independent sources?

  • JeanTate by JeanTate

    I think it's a highly asymmetrical, unusually-shaped double lobe, with z_ph 0.947 ± 0.062 (!) SDSS J083218.43+194722.9 as host:

Not sure if the green stuff is real, and if real, associated with the host.

    What do you think?

Looks like SDSS J083218.43+194722.9 is indeed the host! But how to account for the very strange radio morphology?

The image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk post. The object at the center of the image is SDSS J083218.43+194722.9

I would say that these are two related (the ones in the centre) radio sources, radio lobes. The host would be located at the southern bump of the northern source.

The weird radio morphology could come from a precessing jet or some other gas in the environment (i.e., x-ray).
