    Nice! At zsp 0.089, the ring (or ringed) galaxy is close enough that the apparent color of the ring tells us that there's not much star-formation in it. Also, the bulge (which is almost entirely within the spectroscope's fiber) is both red and has some obvious emission lines, [OII], [NII] and [SII]; curiously H-beta is in absorption, but none of the other Balmer series seem to be. A fading starburst? or a weak AGN?

    Perhaps the galaxy had a close encounter relatively recently (i.e. in the last ~200 million years)?

    Probably longer than 200 million years but less than 1Gyr because you don't see much Balmer emission....
