ARG0001dnh, no ir, but visible host

Here's ARG0001dnh, a #doublelobe, or possible #hourglass.
The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
thread. The host appears to be SDSS J081657.40+355622.4, which has a z_ph=0.457 ± 0.0448. NED and SIMBAD have First and NVSS listing for SDSS J081657.40+355622.4 being the source of the emission, but there is also a FIrst reference for SDSS J081657.88+355608.1, a star, which is to the SE. Of note, both the star and the galaxy have ALLWISE references also.
In the ARG image left, there is no apparent ir source, but in the contour overlay image above, SDSS J081657.40+355622.4
is clearly visible near the centre of the lobes.Posted

Cool! 😃
SDSS J081657.40+355622.4 has a corresponding ALLWISE source, doesn't it? I wonder how close it is, re its position?

Yeah it does. Centred on galaxy. I get a size of ~ 2.386" from the centre of the lobes, and using Ned Wright's calculator plugging in 70/0.3/0.7 and a z_ph=0.457, gives a scale of 5.810 kpc/". Separation distance from the centre of the lobes ~13.86 kpc.
