ARG0003gq3, SDRAGN candidate?

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

    Here's ARG0003gq3, possibly a #doublelobe, #SDRAGN candidate.

    enter image description here

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.

The host for this emission is SDSS J144528.33+051459.6, which appears to be a faint, #clumpy, #green, galaxy, and which NED lists as having a redshift of z_sp=0.895880 +/- 0.000300. There are PMN and NVSS radio references in NED for this galaxy, and there is an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J144528.32+051459.5.

    SDSS J144528.33+051459.6

As per the classification comments left, this could be an #SDRAGN candidate, but the galaxy is very faint. It has a fracDev_g, _r, of 0, and 1, and an expAB_g of 0.508 and expAB_r of 0.499 respectively. For c, the inverse concentration index, it has a figure of 0.455 for the g band and 0.326 for the r band. On the above parameters, it could possibly be an #SDRAGN candidate, or more likely, a #disk galaxy.

    As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.

maybe I have terrible eyesight but I really cannot tell that this fuzzy galaxy is a spiral...

Agree. Very faint, and does appear clumpy.
