ARG000219z triple, host?

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

    Here's ARG000219z, which appears to be a #triple emission.

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.

As per the classification comments left, pinning down a host is a bit more problematic. There's a number of possibilities. The first could be SDSS J092357.42+245655.5, which has a z_ph=0.458 ± 0.0763, has radio reference listings in SIMBAD, and has an ALLWISE reference ~3" west of the galaxy, ALLWISE J092357.18+245655.5. This is centred on the middle lobe.

Another possible host could include SDSS J092357.00+245705.2, which has a z_sp=0.441 +/-0.00012, has a number of radio references in NED, and has an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J092356.98+245705.0. This galaxy also appears to have some faint #red and #green emissions.

A third possible host could be SDSS J092356.71+245703.8, which has a DR7 z_ph=0.1349 +/-0.1096, and has First radio flux emission.

    SDSS J092356.71+245703.8

It is also feasible that these lobes could also be a restarted #doublelobe, which appears to be more apparent in the First image below.

    As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.

I think it's a triple but the host is likely to be invisible or very faint.
