ARG00032t1 diffuse overedge doublelobe

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

    Here's ARG00032t1, which appears to be an #overedge, #diffuse, #doublelobe.

    enter image description here

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.
First contours in red, Wise Band 1 lime green.

As per the classification comments left, and whether SDSS J114512.72+100334.6 is the host of the First emission, there is an NVSS reference for this galaxy in NED, and WISE Band 1 emission as seen in the above overlay. There is also an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J114512.71+100334.4.

    SDSS J114512.72+100334.6

    enter image description here

However, other possible hosts for the First emission could be ALLWISE J114509.87+100354.7, which is situated between the First lobes as a single Wise Band 1 lobe, just SE of the NW First lobe. Another host could also be ALLWISE J114510.58+100334.5 which is WNW of the SE First emission. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any SDSS photometric objects listed at both these positions. Both possible hosts are highlighted in the above contour image.

    As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.

    Very nice, thanks Chris! 😃

How did you add the arrows and text ("ALLWISE ..."), may I ask?

    Thanks Jean,

I've got a mac and it has a simple Preview app which has a stripped down edit field. That's how I did the text, arrows.
