ARG00018eu, offset lobes, hosts?

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

Here's ARG0018eu, which appears to be three #compact lobes, with no apparent hosts, or the optical sources are offset from the emissions. This ARG field is also cross referenced in the How to describe the radio morphology thread? Also, some of the First emissions do seem slightly offset from the Wise Band 1 emissions.

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.
First contours in red, Wise Band 1 lime green.

The centre lobe seems to be either #nooptical, or offset from SDSS J155714.97+383716.0, which has a DR6 z_ph=0.750 +/-8.087. This object, listed as a star, does have radio references in NED and is slightly to the NW from the emission. And the morphology for this lobe seems unusual, in that it is slightly extended, and not completely circular.

Another possible host for this lobe could be SDSS J155715.52+383727.7, which has a DR7 z_ph=0.177 +/-0.133, and has radio references in NED. Again this is offset to the north from the centre lobe emission.

As for the lobes to the ENE and SSW there doesn't appear to be any optical or radio hosts that align with the emissions. However, NED does list a number of radio sources in the vicinity.

    As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.

I think it's more likely three #compact sources, each with an IR host but no optical (SDSS) one.

The S source does seem to be #IRoffset.
