Is this a...er...maybe an...um...what is this?

    I'm not sure what I've got here. the central object is clear in both IR and RF, and the lower double lobe is obvious in RF but not IR...Those are fine and I wouldn't really have a question about those....except for the artifact-esque streak going through the whole image and intersecting both of them.

    What is that? Just some coincidental nonsense interference fooferah? Or something else?

    Adding to the weirdness is the fact the two RF elements intersecting the streak appear to be affected by the streak....like, a dragging effect downward.

    this is indeed wierd source, perhaps with one sided jet

    Both central component and lower "double lobe" are from the same source: the IR object behind the central component

    In FIRST, the "streak" is partly an artifact, as you can see by comparing it with the NVSS image of the same object:
