ARG0002ff7, SDRAGN candidate
-
by ChrisMolloy
Here's ARG0002ff7 which appears to be a #doublelobe centre, with what appears to be #diffuse emission to the NW. This ARG field is cross referenced in the post SDSS J083224.82+184855.4 spiral arms or visual effect, SDRAGN?
The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
thread. First in red.The host for the #doublelobe emission is SDSS J083224.82+184855.4, which has a z_sp=0.114 +/- 0.00002. This galaxy has a number of radio references in NED and SIMBAD and an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J083224.82+184855.4. This galaxy also has a GZ2 listing as being a probable spiral galaxy. The morphology of this emission, makes this galaxy an #SDRAGN candidate.
The #diffuse emission to the NW is more difficult to define. There doesn't appears to be a host, and whether this emission is related to or separate from SDSS J083224.82+184855.4, or possibly even an #artifact, is hard to ascertain.
As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.

An excellent SDRAGN candidate, and possibly #restarted too!
Great analyses/sleuthing too, thanks Chris! 😃
