ARG00015tw, two slightly extended compact lobes, cluster environment

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

Here's ARG00015tw, which appears to be two slightly #extended #compact lobes. This ARG field has been cross referenced in the following post, ARG00015tw RADIO CONTOURS FROM THESE NOT COMMON GALAXIES?

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.
    First in red.

The host for the centre lobe appears to be SDSS J104044.49+395711.2, which is an #elliptical galaxy, and has a z_sp=0.138 +/-0.00003. This object is listed as a #QSO, has recorded First flux emission in SDSS DR14, radio references in NED and SImbad, and an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J104044.49+395711.1.

    SDSS J104044.49+395711.2

The possible host for the lobe to the SW appears to be SDSS J104043.44+395705.2, which seems to be an #elliptical galaxy, with a z_sp=0.136 +/- 0.00003. Again, this galaxy has radio references in NED and Simbad, and an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J104043.49+395705.9.

    SDSS J104043.44+395705.2

The slight extension of both these lobes could be due to the fact that both these galaxies are in a #cluster, environment.

    As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.
