ARG0001yag, host? morphology?

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

Here's ARG0001yag. This object appears to be either a #core-lobe, or possibly a #doublelobe or #triple, with the associated #diffuse emission to the S and SE of this lobe.

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.
    First in red.

A possible host for the emissions appears to be SDSS J112228.80+261355.9, which is a faint galaxy with a z_ph=0.804 ± 0.1327. This galaxy has recorded First flux emission, but there doesn't appear to be any radio references in NED nor Simbad. There is an ALLWISE reference slightly NE of this objects position, ALLWISE J112228.92+261358.2.

There is an NVSS reference in NED for SDSS J112228.94+261402.0, which is a faint galaxy centred on the tail end of the #core-lobe emission. This object had a z_ph=0.439 ± 0.0644.

Regarding the emission to the S, SE, there doesn't appear to be any radio references associated with this lobe. There is an ALLWISE reference which appears to be centred on SDSS J112228.91+261335.7, ALLWISE J112228.93+261335.6. This object, which has a z_ph=0.347 ± 0.0294, is positioned near the SW edge of the S, SE emission. It is hard to discern whether this S, SE emission is related to the northern lobe or separate, due to its apparent #diffuse morphology.
