ARG0002vmd, two hourglass emissions

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

Here's ARG0002vmd, which appears to be two #hourglass emissions, one centre, and one WSW of centre.

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.
    First in red.

The host for the #hourglass centre, appears to be SDSS J090132.72+121221.0, which has a z_sp=0.487 +/- 0.00017. There doesn't appear to be any radio references for this object in NED nor Simbad, but there is an ALLWISE reference ALLWISE J090132.72+121221.2.

The host for the #hourglass to the WSW appears to be SDSS J090130.34+121202.4, which has a z_sp=0.488 +/-0.00014. This object has a radio reference in Simbad and an ALLWISE reference ALLWISE J090130.36+121201.3.

There is a radio reference in NED which is centred on SDSS J090130.86+121205.8. This object is listed as a star in SDSS DR14, but a galaxy in SDSS DR7, with the latter reference giving a z_ph=0.057 +/-0.025. It is hard to ascertain whether this redshift is reliable or not, as visually this object seems very faint. And it is unlikely this galaxy is the host of the emission being on the eastern edge of the lobes.
