ARG0000wzt, x-shaped?

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

Here's ARG0000wzt, which appears to be an #x-shaped emission. The contour overlay below is centred on SDSS J115459.01+441709.4, which is NE of the the ARG co-ordinates listed left.

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.
    First in red.

The host for the emission appears to be SDSS J115500.34+441702.3, which has a z_ph=0.550 ± 0.1809. This galaxy has radio references in NED and SIMBAD, and an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J115500.38+441702.4. It also appears to be slightly pink in colour.

As per the ARG comments left, this emission could be an #overlap. There is an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J115459.00+441709.4, centred on SDSS J115459.01+441709.4, which is listed as a star. This object could possibly be a #QSO, but there are no references for this in NED or SIMBAD. This object is at the northern region of the #x-shaped emission.

There is also an ALLWISE reference, ALLWISE J115500.28+441646.7, centred on SDSS J115500.28+441646.6, which is in the southern region of the emission. This galaxy has a z_ph=0.308 ± 0.0323, but no radio references in NED nor SIMBAD.

If this emission is an #overlap, either to the north or south of the emission, then the lobes, east and west could be a #slip-strike #doublelobe.

    As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.
