ARG0003bwl, doublelobe, host?

  • ChrisMolloy by ChrisMolloy

Here's ARG0003bwl, which appears to possibly be a #doublelobe or #triple. The contour image below is centred on SDSS J142818.81+065254.7, which s NE of the ARG co-ordinates listed left.

The contour overlay image in this post was created from sources, and using methods, described in this RGZ Talk
    thread.
First in red, Wise band 1 lime green.

As per the ARG comments left, it appears that this emission could be #no-ir, and possibly #no-optical. However, there is an object centred on the SE edge of the central lobe, SDSS J142818.81+065254.7, which is listed as a #star, albeit very #faint. This object has radio references in NED, and SDSS DR7 cites it as a TARGET_QSO_FAINT. There is an ALLWISE reference also positioned at this location, ALLWISE J142818.79+065254.3.

There is also an ALLWISE reference positioned in the centre of the lobes, ALLWISE J142818.12+065252.4. However, there doesn't appear to be a corresponding optical source with this ALLWISE reference.

    As always, comments, suggestions, welcome.

    Great work! 😃

ALLWISE J142818.12+065252.4 seems to be in the right place to be the host. As it's so faint in both WISE 1 and optical (SDSS), it's likely quite some way away (or quite unusual); it'd be quite interesting to learn what its redshift is.
