IR vs Radio signal size

  • smo by smo

So far I've seen several hourglass and plume cases underlaid (?overlaid) by a huge IR source of a size > 60% of the radio signal. Probably false positive for IR, but then the hourglass situation is enticing(?). I'd think these "constellations" (pun intended) are suboptimal for closer observation, as probably the IR source is out of context. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I responded to a question you asked in the Discussion section regarding the geometry sources. But I forgot to add that some of the very bright and huge IR sources are intervening stars from our own Galaxy that lie in the same line-of-sight as our radio jets so they can be annoying and misleading in some cases
