ARG00038r8 - one host or two? overedge? artifact? radio morphology?

  • JeanTate by JeanTate

One host or two? In any case, is it/are they WISE or SDSS sources?

Is there an overedge source? Is either (or both) of the radio sources (an) artifacts?

How best to describe the radio morphology?

This is a tough one. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd probably say that it's 2 high-z IFRS sources. It's not likely to be overedge. But once again, only follow-up observations can verify these claims.

    Thanks Ivy.

Assuming each of the two radio sources (as enclosed in contours) are separate, and assuming no further inputs, how would you describe each one's radio morphology?

Assuming they are, in fact, a single source (i.e. from the same host), how would you describe the radio morphology?

Due to the noise level of the radio image, if the radio blobs make a single source, then we would have a double-lobed source. If these are 2 separate, sources then we may have 1 corejet and possibly 1 hourglass ? (--> these are mainly based on whether there is 1 or 2 obvious peak(s) in the emission)..
