Huge infrared jet or artifact?

It looks unusual and interesting to me or can be an artifact too. Has anyone seen similar to this one or can give an explanation? Thank you!

As Dolorous Edd has already noted, it's a diffraction spike - a kind of optical artifact - caused by a nearby (but offstage, to the top-right/NW) bright star.
