I was wonder how to classify this object. It seems to be a compact source but the radio looks messy with three other small radio bright sources. I was wondering do we think the other bright sources are related and if so are the dwarf galaxies orbiting SDSS J073942.13+303423.8 or are the posibly more distant radio sources?

I should also have said could the smaller sources just be artifacts?

I think it's a faint #wat, or possibly something even more complex (there's just-below-threshold emission to the N and W).
could the smaller sources just be artifacts?
Yes, but in this case I think it more likely that they are real.
Hope this helps, and happy hunting! 😃

Thanks Jean.
It all helps with the learning curve. I now need to find the blog entry that describes #WAT and #NAT.
