  This is 3C 294. The host - the galaxy with the supermassive black hole that somehow creates the jets which produce the strong radio emission - is hidden in the glare of the bright star, in both SDSS and WISE images.

  According to NED, it has a redshift of 1.779 ... amazing that something so far away can appear so bright! 😮
