What 'middle spectrum' are you referring to? And what do you mean by "cohesive"?

The middle two in the IR (the orange/yellow/white background) are galaxies, as you can see in this SDSS image (centered on the bigger one):
It's possible that they are relatively close to each other, in space. However, if they aren't - if their apparent closeness is just a projection effect - then they won't merge or crash. If they're close, they will certainly interact, and may have already done so. A future merger is less certain; without knowing more about how they're moving, it's just as possible that they'll fly right past each other.
The radio emission in the center of the ARG field comes from a quasar, which is the white circle with the nice compact radio emission, to the left (east). It is far, far in the background:
