Psuedo-triangular texture radio background

    Any significance? Or is it an artifact of the sensor electronics?

    This is indeed an artifact of how the radio images were created. The radio telescopes combine their outputs to produce an image using a technique called interferometry. As the radio telescopes - used to produce our radio images - come from the VLA (link is to Wiki), and as that has a Y shape (see this image, for example), the result is a triangular pattern.
