No infrared!

    What's going on here?

This one is quite curious, I think.

First, the WISE part of the image seems to be two pieces joined together (there's a sort of "seam" running diagonally through the image), with the lower part having a brighter "sky" than the upper part. This "join" seems to run through, or very near, where you'd expect the host to be. If so, then the different "sky brightness" is an annoying artifact because it makes identifying any host difficult.

Second, if this is a #double, it's a very #asym one. But perhaps the S "one contour" radio source is just noise?

Third, if indeed there's no IR source, then it's an #IFRS (infrared faint radio source), a particularly unusual one (they are nearly always just a single source, a #compact).

But if click on the WISE link, you'll see there's a faint IR source more or less where you'd expect the host to be. In WISE bands 1 and 2.

Hope this helps, and happy hunting! 😃
