Note a similiar feature on the opposite side, is it an artifact??
Is it somehow connected to bright radio source at ~15 50 43.93 +11 20 49.1?
Edit: Although I agree that this probably an artifact , I have to point out that NVSS has a significantly lower resolution and I am not sure if such features will be visible at all

I agree with antikodon; this is an artifact, a ghost image if you will of the bright source to the north. @DolorousEdd 's images in the first post show this clearly, with a second symmetric artifact. Since NVSS and FIRST have different observing parameters, the artifacts would not be expected to be the same (separate from the issues of resolution), so it's not a surprise (and confirms the spurious nature) that NVSS doesn't show anything.
