wide doublelobe with ambiguous IR

  • WizardHowl by WizardHowl

The symmetry of the radio emission here, with both features seeming to have faint tails extending broadly towards each other, is suggestive of a #doublelobe but there are several IR sources that are candidates to be the origin of the radio emission, none of which seem quite right. I marked the very bright IR source as the origin as this seemed the best-fit but suspect that it is either obscuring the real source, or that the real source is just next to it at its 10 o'clock but too faint for the IR survey to detect.

Hard to say on this one. Could be a QSO, classified as star in SDSS. Someone with expertise in colors needs to combine the SDSS filters with the WISE and see what the overall broadband spectrum looks like.
