IR stream - chance alignment or multiple interacting galaxies?
The question here is not about the radio emission but the golf-club-shaped stream in the IR in the upper-left quadrant of the image. It does not look to me as if this is the result of a diffraction spike but rather numerous galaxies all lined up. This is not something I have seen before, although in such a large survey it might happen by chance. Could this be part of a cluster of galaxies of which some are interacting? If so, is the radio galaxy also in this group?
