overedge bent lobe?

  • WizardHowl by WizardHowl

The radio emission at the top of the image overedge appears as if it may be no more symmetrical than the bent emission in the centre, so it is not clear if it has a core in this field of view. The central radio emission originates from a bright radio core that is not centrally placed on the IR source, suggesting overlapping IR galaxies, either as seen from our line of sight or (less likely) in the process of interacting. Could be a busy FIRST field?
