These contours seems especially close stacked, what do astronomers consider unusually Intense and how can you identify them?

This is a nice strong compact source. In terms of intensity, astronomers usually measure the luminosity of the source and this determines how "intense" it is. The luminosity normalises the measured flux density with the distance of the source so that we can have a handle of its "intensity".
