ARG0002vkh: host SDSS J224549.38+121251.5 would be a Green Pea if closer?

  • JeanTate by JeanTate

With a zsp of , SDSS J224549.38+121251.5 is too distant for its strong [OIII] lines to make it appear as a Green Pea. And it's obviously much too massive, not to mention that the [OIII] etc emission is from the AGN, not star-formation, but still ... (the bright ~935nm line is a skyline, not intrinsic to the galaxy)

ARG0003968 contains another, this one with a spectacular set of #lobes. Host is zsp 0.525 SDSS J121746.29+075201.3:

The continuum seems stronger for this host than the one in the OP, so it may not appear as strongly as green if it were at a lower redshift ...
