New Help

  • KaraMurphy by KaraMurphy

I am new to this project. For some IR sources, it looks like there are many globed together. How do you identify the source in this example? Would you only select one source?

Welcome to Radio Galaxy Zoo, KaraMurphy!

You have asked a good question, and I think the best answer may be somewhat surprising.

Would you only select one source?

That's what I do! Unless there seems to be more than one radio source in a multi-blob (like the one in the center of this image), in which case I try to match each radio source with a separate blob (double lobes excepted).

Hope this helps, and happy hunting! 😃

    Hi KaraMurphy,

In this case, I would select one infrared source at the centre of the radio contours. Hope this helps.
